Sixth Sunday of Easter
Sixth Sunday of Easter

Today's responsorial psalm reminds us to sing a new song to the Lord. As the Easter season moves towards its fulfillment of Pentecost, let us take the many opportunities this Mass affords us to lift our voices in song to the one who died and rose to save us from sin and shows us the way to eternal life.
In today's first reading, Saint Paul addresses the deep division that existed between the circumsised believers and the Gentiles, the uncircumcised, who has received the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Placing Christ at the center of the dispute became the answer and, in a bold, wise, and prophetic step, Paul orders that the Gentiles be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Today's readings give us much to ponder as we try to understand why religious and cultural differences sometimes erupt in acts of violence and terrorism.
Attention:
Volunteers are needed for welcoming new parishioners to our parish. We will need people from Junction City, Milford, White City, Chapman, Wakefield, Fort Riley and other surrounding areas. If interested in reaching out to new parishioners, please contact Tina Barker, Jeff Keating or the Parish Office. There will be more later on this special ministry.
We welcome to the Catholic Community Gabrielle Annette Dery, daughter of Joshua and Amanda, was baptised last Sunday. May God's blessings be with you all.
We congratulate Korby Efflin and Mary Moloney, who were married Friday evening. May your commitment of love be an inspiration to all of us.
A special thank to everyone who helped this year in the parish's religious education program!
