Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time
January 28th, 2007

St. Xavier Parish Home Page

Sisters and brothers, the Holy Spirit draws us together this winter day, to listen to God's word and to celebrate the love we share as God's children, baptized into Chist Jesus. Today we hear Saint Paul's hymn extolling the virtue of love. We praise God for the opportunity to know the love of Christ and to be transformed by it.
As the sacred word of God is proclaimed this day, let us be attentive to its power to transform us into people filled with the wonder of God's love.

The total Multi-Peril Insurance bill is $32,000.00. As we all know it is extremely important to have our parish covered. With payments that have been made and last months second collection of $2,872.00 designated for this outstanding bill, we still owe $25,628.00. Please prayerfully see where you can help out. Next weeks second collection will be used to help pay some of this coverage.

We welcome to the Christian Community Kailah Sophia Kobiak, Daughter of Tobias and Sarah. Kailah was baptized on the 21st. May God bless and protect her and her family.

We thank all those volunteers who cleaned the walks and parking lot after our weekend snow. Your hard work made it easier to attend Masses. God bless you for your gift of caring.
